Lost in cyberspace

People have mostly abandoned blogs. I can't get along with Twitter. Facebook is too horribly public and filled with work people.

I'm bored, already. Can somebody please invent a new new thing quickly, thank you.

  3. I've been feeling the same way for a while. There's a general election coming up in Ireland and there was a time when there would have been heaps of good blog-posts on the matter. Now there's virtually nothing out there because everyone's fucking tweeting about it instead. Which is fine, I guess, but I really couldn't be arsed wading through all the dross in order to read one or two worthwhile sentences.

I'm hoping it'll all turn out to be a fad, but I suspect otherwise. Something new that doesn't require such a massive loss of privacy or pithy inanities would be great.

  4. What about standing on a street corner and shouting like a loony?

  5. Ian and BiB, okay, but only if you start.

Andrew, I know... I think it will be with us for a while but then it will be superseded by something else. Maybe we'll all have our own little personal LCD displays like Jenny Holzer's to carry around.

Tim, your idea has appeal, I must confess

  6. Tumblr? This is much more about images than words (commenting is a nightmare as far as I can tell).

  8. I like Tumblr GSE, but I like the words. I can find my own pictures, but I like the chit-chat.

Rad, yes, where've you been? Slacker!
